Sugar Chai Cookies

Makes:

32 Cookies

Ingredients

1 Cup Butter - at room temperature

1 1/4 Cup Sugar

1 Egg, at room temperature

2 tsp Vanilla extract

2 1/4 Cups of Flour

4 Bags of Chai Tea

1/2 tsp baking powder

1/4 tsp baking soda

1/2 tsp salt

+ 2 tbsp sugar for dipping cookie balls

Preparation

Step 1

Pre-Heat Oven to 350F

Line 2 Cookie Sheets with Parchment paper


Step 2

Cream together the Butter and Sugar until smooth, using a hand mixer or a stand mixer. Add in the Egg and vanilla, beat to incorporate ingredients.


Step 3

In a separate Bowl, Combine the rest of the ingredients. After combining the dry ingredients, add them to the Butter mixture. Mix on low speed until all ingredients are well combined.


Step 4

Using a ice cream scoop, scoop out dough and place on prepared cookie sheet leaving 2 inches between each cookie, when completed take the 2 tbsp of Sugar and dip each ball in Sugar, place back on the cookie sheet (gives the dough a little time to rest and wont be as tacky)


Step 5

Bake the cookies for 10-14min at 350F

*edges just turning golden, soft in the middle.

Cool on the baking sheet for 10 min, transfer to cooling rack to cool completely.
