Lazy Cabbage Rolls
Makes:
5-6 Servings
Ingredients
~ Meat Balls ~
• 2 lbs Ground Beef
• 2 boxes of Stuffing (any flavor)
• 1 TBSP Italian seasoning
• 2 Eggs
• 1 TBSP BBQ sauce
• 1/2 TBSP Mustard
• Oil for fryingÂ
~ Sauce ~
• 2 Cups Tomato sauce
• 2 Cups Water
• 1 Cup Pasta sauce
• 3 Cups shredded cabbage
• Salt and pepper to tasteÂ
Preparation
• In a large-sized bowl; mix all the ingredients for the Meatballs until all ingredients are well incorporated.
• Add oil to the frying pan, and heat on medium-high heat.
• Scoop the meat out of the bowl and shape it into balls, an ice cream scoop works great.Â
• Once the Oil is hot; add Meatballs to the frying pan. Don't overcrowd, work in batches if necessary.
• Fry meatballs on both sides until internal temperature reaches 160°F
• Meanwhile in a Large cooking pot; add Tomato sauce, Water, and Pasta sauce, cover and turn to medium heat.
• Once the Meatballs are cooked; transfer them into the pot of Sauce.
• Add shredded cabbage, cover the pot, and cook on medium-high heat for 30 minutes or until the cabbage is soft.
• Add salt and pepper to taste.
~ Serve with Mashed potatoes and corn or one of your favorite sides.
~ Serve leftovers as a delicious croissant sandwich.
