Makes:

33 Krinjel

Ingredients

•1 Cup Warm Water (110°F)

•1 TBSP Sugar

•1 TBSP Yeast

•1/2 Cup Lard

•1/2 Cup Butter

•1 Cup Milk

•1/2 TBSP Salt

•1 TBSP Vinegar

•5 Cups Flour


Preparation

•In a small bowl; mix together Warm Water, Sugar and Yeast. Set aside until frothy.

• Meanwhile in a Stand mixer; cream together Lard and Butter.

• Once creamed; add in Milk, Salt, Vinegar and 2 Cups Flour. Mix until well combined.

• Next, adding in the Frothy yeast mixture, the remaining Flour and attach the Dough hook.

• Mix and Knead on low sweed until a ball of Dough forms and the edges of the bowl come clean. Turn to Medium speed and Knead for 5 minutes.

• Remove from the Mixer, cover and place in a warm area to rise for 60 minutes until doubled in size.

•After rising; Preheat oven to 300F and cut off pieces from the Dough, I weighed mine for consistency (40g each) roll into a long log and twist.

•Bake at 300 for 40-50 minutes *rotate baking sheet at the 20 minute mark to avoid burning, if needed.


Cool and Enjoy by spreading on some butter, pairs great with a cup of Hot Coffee at Faspa time.
